The right movie critic

I derive value out of watching the review, since it is better to spend couple of minutes reading the review rather than spending two whole hours watching the movie only to feel what a hopeless waste of time it was. It also makes sense as there are way too many movies out there but very few good ones given the rat race in the  movie industry!
There are a quite a few reviewers out there, how to follow the right one. Now that is a tough question.
If you watch a movie first hand then you might have come to a different conclusion than what the reviewer is saying. So by following that critic you might end up watching a bad one or worse missing out on a good one. We typically don't need reviewers to know about the very good ones and the really bad ones. We would any way come to know about them. It is only for those films which are neither and only appeal to particular sections of the audience that we have to worry about.

So here is the strategy to follow the right reviewer. First I suggest you to pick up two movies, one movie which you liked very much but others generally didn't and you would bother having missed to catch it. Second movie is the one which you really disliked though generally it was appreciated, and you would bother having to watch one throughout. Now read the reviews of these movies across the board from different movie critics. Those critics whose reviews match your opinion on these two selected movies are the likely ones whose reviews you should follow without  having the fear of missing out of any good ones! If you see more than two such critics fitting this requirement, then filter out amongst them by reading their reviews for two such other movies.

As always, do let me know if this strategy worked for you or if it needs any changes.
And... Good luck at the movies..!
