Bee hive removal is not pest control

In Bangalore people are increasingly engaging pest control folks for removal of bee hive. But they go about performing hive removal in a non-traditional way with the use of heavy chemicals which on one hand kill the bees instantly (rendering the honey useless!) but also affect people, children and the surroundings. And they end up paying them to do this! We need to stop this practise immediately.

Instead, I wish to bring to your notice SOS Wildlife Rescue Centre,
Bannerghatta, Bangalore. Dr. Arun Sha, is a wildlife veterinary doctor at this centre. He is a man with commitment and passion working for the betterment of rescued wild animals.

At Wildlife SOS, they have successfully rescued many different wildlife. These mainly include dancing bears which they accomplish by providing alternate career options and opportunities to the  Kalandhars (bear owners). At present the foundation takes care of nearly 88 rescued sloth bears by providing proper care and attention, away from torture and stress.

Since they need lot of honey at this centre, they engage in beehive removal free of cost and further they remove the hives in a non-traditional way without killing the bees.
