Carpooling by google?
I think one area where Google Plus can contribute is car pooling. Need less to say car pooling saves money, natural non-renewable resource, pollution, driving stress, traffic jams, parking problems and of course provides an opportunity to make new friends.
Car pooling could be motor bikes / other vehicles / public transport vehicles like taxi sharing.
A solution where users with Google+ accounts and who are interested to offer car pooling service can create a listing. They may insist on corporate email id verification as this might concern the security of the people who would use this service.
The user should be able to offer others to carpool with themselves or search on the site about people who have offered others to car pool with them. The following three options may be relevant - offer or require or alternate - where the user wishes to alternate driving between carpoolers. In case of the third option, the details like whether - ride seeker is expected to drive the vehicle of host on either regularly or alternately or is the ride seeker is expected to alternate with his own vehicle (so as to share the expenses) are also expected to be provided.
If either a trip is offered or expected - start point and time; end point and time along with no. of seats offered on a ride and the route points may be provided.
