Will power
To demonstrate how will power can enable one to overcome their limitations, I am briefly discussing stories of triumph over tragedy from world of sports.
Károly Takacs was an ace shooter from Hungary who dreamed of
winning Olympic gold medal for his country. But life had other plans. He was also a military sergeant in the Hungarian Army. And during his training exercise, a defective grenade exploded in his right hand which was his dominant and shooting hand. So his dreams were in shatters due to this unfortunate incident.

Nevertheless his will power was strong that he resolved to train to shoot in his non-dominant left hand. Not only did he win consecutive gold medals in 25 m rapid fire event at 1948 Olympics in London but he again defended it at 1952 event in Helsinki all this after losing his dominant hand in which he had trained all his life.
Sandeep Singh is professional hockey player from India who dreamed of representing his country in world cup. However due to an accidental gunshot on a train journey left him paralysed and was on wheelchair for 1 year. Due to this unfortunate incident he was unable to participate in the Hockey world cup in 2006. However, his will power was strong enough that he not only overcame his disability through physiotherapy and regained his ability to walk but also retrained to be selected to represent India in Hockey world cup 2010.
If these stories are not motivating when what else can?
