MEG UKI 2026
MEG UKI is a consortium of all universities in UK and Ireland who have MEG either SQUID or OPM. They hold a prestigious annual conference and encourage early career researchers to present their work and receive feedback from experts.
This year MEG UKI 2026 three-day conference was held in Nottingham, UK from Wednesday, September 16th to Friday, September 18th, 2026. It was organized by Prof Matthew Brookes and Dr Ryan Hill and their team at Nottingham University.
I am grateful to the organizers of MEG UKI 2026 conference who gave me an opportunity to deliver a talk on my SQUID-MEG experiments on Auditory Working Memory for maintenance of pitch of a simple tone in healthy controls.
I delivered a talk entitled "Cerebellum-Broca beta band dynamics support pitch maintenance in auditory working memory" on September 18th at Monica Partridge building, University of Nottingham, Nottingham, UK.
I thank Zoe Tanner for chairing my session. I also thank my ex-colleague Dr Yoshihito Shigihara, Hokuto Hospital, Hokkaido, Japan for the pictures and recording my talk. You can watch the 12 min video recording here -
Latest slides of my talk are shared here if you would like to follow along as you watch the video - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MoELpSCqF8xhdrQ6CyAti5IFD6Ds7_nh/view
I also presented a poster on the same project during the 3 days of the conference. Here is the latest poster on this project - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GHuNQo8lnulm6nhdGPxFsC_M0qGqbBvk/view
See me wearing a OPM MEG headset by a startup Cerca Magnetics.
Overall, my participation was instrumental in my fledgling career, learnt a lot from my interactions with experts, and this opportunity has lead to new collaborations for me.
Thank you Prof Matthew Brookes, and Dr Ryan Hill and their entire team for making this event happen.
